As per Federal Law No. 10 of 2017, a domestic worker is eligible for gratuity if:

1. Service Between 1–5 Years

• Entitlement: 21 days of basic salary for every year.

Formula:

2. Service Over 5 Years

• Entitlement: 30 days of basic salary for every extra year after 5 years.

Formula:

• First 5 Years = (Basic Salary ÷ 30) × 21 × 5
• Additional Years = (Basic Salary ÷ 30) × 30 × (Years – 5)
• Total Gratuity = First 5 Years + Additional Years

• Salary: AED 1,500
• Service: 4 years
• Calculation: (1,500 ÷ 30) × 21 × 4 = AED 4,200

• Salary: AED 2,000
• Service: 6 years
• First 5 Years = (2,000 ÷ 30) × 21 × 5 = 7,000
